Create an app from the public task-board repository. Choose the docker-guide branch, set the build root to a period, and choose Staging for this second instance. Open advanced settings and choose Dockerfile. Leave the build and start overrides empty so the Dockerfile supplies those commands. Import the detected variable names. Set PORT to 3000 and DEMO_READ_ONLY to false while you verify editable behavior. Review the summary and select Deploy Application. The deployment log opens next. The build log shows Node 24 and npm ci. The checked-in Dockerfile supplies the start command and runs the container as a non-root user. The captured deployment completed successfully in 48 seconds. Open the live board, add Ship the Docker sample, and move it to Doing. The app overview shows Running. This sample stores tasks in memory; use PostgreSQL when tasks must survive an app rebuild. Before sharing a hosted demo, set DEMO_READ_ONLY to true, apply the change, and verify that writes are rejected.
